At the Tokyo Game Show, Xbox revealed that StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft II: Campaign Collection will be available on PC Game Pass. Both titles will be available on November 5 to PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

The multiplayer components of both games are already free to play on PCs, but this will allow users to try out the single-player campaigns.

Starcraft II: Campaign Collection, for example, contains nearly 70 missions drawn from all of the DLC, including Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm, among others.

StarCraft: Remastered upgrades the original game with 4K visuals, better audio, and redesigned leaderboards. This update has been around since 2017, but Game Pass availability should bring the legendary 1998 real-time strategy (RTS) game to a new audience.

Despite their age, both games maintain active multiplayer communities. This also applies in the field of professional competitive gaming. Many attribute StarCraft II, which was released in 2010, contributing to the rise of live broadcasting.

This isn’t the only Blizzard-related announcement to come out of the Tokyo Game Show. Overwatch 2 will have (presumably extremely costly) skins based on the anime My Hero Academia. This promotion runs from October 17 to 30.
