Russian strikes in Ukraine over the last day have killed four people and injured scores, TBPA has learned.

On Monday, Russia fired ballistic and guided-air missiles at multiple areas, including Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kyiv, according to the Ukrainian Air Force’s Telegram post.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged the attacks on X, adding that air defenses destroyed more than 50 Russian-launched Shahed drones that fired on a dozen targets.

In a recent post, Zelenskyy said, “Over the course of this week, the enemy has used about 20 missiles of various types, more than 800 guided aerial bombs, and nearly 400 strike UAVs of various types. This daily aerial terror can be stopped.”

The Ukrainian leader also stated in the post that he will press his country’s request for long-range weaponry capable of firing deep into Russian territory at a high-level military meeting next week in Ramstein.

According to Zelenskyy, the Ukraine Defence Contact Group is scheduled to meet on October 12 to discuss many major concerns, including the “manning of brigades” and the supply of weapons and equipment to soldiers.

Russian media confirmed that Kyiv launched missile strikes on an oil depot in Russian-occupied Crimea. According to the report, firefighters are now combating a fire that started at the scene after the attack.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces stated on Telegram that the strike on the region’s main oil storage was intended to strategically target Moscow’s gasoline supply.

According to the Telegram report, “Measures to undermine the Russian Federation’s military and economic potential continue.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin unlawfully acquired the Ukrainian territory of Crimea in 2014, paving the way for the Kremlin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in early 2022.

Since then, Moscow has held “elections” in the Russian-occupied region, causing uproar in Brussels, which declared the contest “null and void” because “Crimea is Ukraine”.
