The Biafra Republic Government In Exile led by its Prime Minister Simon Ekpa during its September 27th, 2024 ‘Biafra Government Cabinet Emergency Meeting’ voted and adopted the establishment of the Biafra National Regulatory Agency.

The agency is tasked with providing regulatory licenses to businesses that would operate under the government of Biafra.

The cabinet also adopted the use of the title ‘HON’ which stands for ‘Honorable’ for its members. Adopting the title automatically requires that cabinet members of the Biafra government be addressed with ‘Hon.’

The Biafran lawmakers in exile also voted to establish the Biafra National Broadcasting Corporation “BNBC” an agency responsible for regulating and issuing licenses to broadcasting agencies. The agencies would include TV broadcasting, print media, and radio broadcasts.

The cabinet sitting which later went into a closed-door meeting returned to the screen with Elias, a representative of the BRGIE lobbying firm briefing the Biafran people and over 13,000 viewers on the achievements recorded so far with meetings between BRGIE officials and top US lawmakers in Washington D.C.

According to Elias, the meetings were primarily intended to raise awareness among key US lawmakers who are unfamiliar with Biafran issues. He did, however, state that in the coming weeks, additional top-level US legislators and even United Nations officials will be met.

Recall that the Biafran Independence Declaration has been set for the 2nd of December during the five-day convention in Finland.
